Michael’s career in business management began at First Financial Equity, where he worked on debt and equity capitalizations for a decade. He then joined GFI Mortgage, expanding his involvement in structured real estate finance and business management. During his career, he successfully managed an investment platform, acquiring over $500 million in multi-family properties across the US, including $100 million in holdings in Texas. Michael also co-founded Radius Property Management to optimize property operations and later co-founded Maple Development Group, specializing in affordable residential development in the greater Houston market.
Maayan Blumenfeld
CEO and Co-Founder
Maayan possesses extensive expertise in the solar industry, with a strong legal, financial, and business development background, before establishing Solarity, Maayan worked as the US & South American Business Development Director at Nofar Energy (TA: NOFR). He successfully led and represented the Company’s operation in the US via its subsidiary in the C&I solar and storage sector. He also effectively oversaw a $40 million tax equity partnership transaction for project development, resulting in the completion of 15 MW projects and a portfolio of 100 MW projects at various stages of development. Prior to this, Maayan worked as a Securities Legal Counsel, contributing to capital raising exceeding 2 billion NIS for real estate and energy firms. He also played a crucial role as General Counsel in a medical cannabis industry leader’s (NASDAQ: INCR) $60 million SPAC merger transaction, where he managed global commercial agreements.
Justin Charles
Chief of Operation
Justin brings over 13 years of extensive experience in the solar industry, having led and contributed to the design, engineering, procurement, and installation of more than 100 MW of Solar and Storage projects. Before joining Solarity, he held a pivotal role at IES (NASDAQ: IESC), overseeing the entire Solar Division and driving substantial growth and rebranding efforts helping IES transition from being a Texas-based residential solar company to a nationally recognized commercial and small utility-scale enterprise, while also fortifying its residential presence in Texas and expanding into new states. Prior to his tenure at IES, Justin served as a Solar Consultant at Simpleray, where he served as the engineering manager and supervised sales and post-sale operations, specializing in medium to small commercial and utility-scale projects. Before that, Justin owned and managed a commercial and industrial solar company, where he was responsible for the overall operations and management of the company.
Kevin Dispensa
Project Manager
Experienced Project & Procurement Manager with a strong knowledge of Photovoltaic Energy and Battery Storage. Over five years working Hybrid Field Solar Installations and, in the Office, Managing Projects and procuring materials. Prior to joining Solarity, Kevin worked as a commercial project manager at IES (NASDAQ: IESC) where he worked on detailed procurement plans with engineering sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with NEC Electrical Code. Kevin also managed material procurement, oversaw field projects for safety and efficiency, and coordinate solar installation crews, including operations and maintenance.
Kevin Marceski
Senior Design Engineer
With more than seven years of experience, Kevin is an experienced engineer specializing in renewable energy and sustainability have a solid educational foundation from Solar Energy Internatinal in Paonia, CO, and Reykjavik University in Iceland. Prior to joining Solarity, Kevin worked as an Engineering Manager and Lead Design Engineer at IES (NASDAQ: IESC). As part, Kevin specializes in creating quote proposals and construction plans for Commercial projects. Kevin provided pricing and technical support to the sales team, managed site survey reviews, and developed electrical solutions in collaboration with operations management and the installation team.
Alec Tyler
Field installation supervisor
With more than five years of field experience, Alec is an experienced project field manager for commercial solar projects. Prior to joining Solarity, Alec worked as Solar Construction manager at IES IES (NASDAQ: IESC) as part of his role, Alec actively support the project manager by overseeing project field activities. Alec perform a range of essential tasks from the contracted sale stage through to file archiving for specific clients. This involves close collaboration with engineering, installation, and sales teams to provide customers with regular status updates and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed to facilitate a smooth project progression.
Shelbi Jary
Commercial Solar Sales Consultant
Shelbi is a commercial solar sales specialist with more than 15 years of experience. Shelbi started in the renewables industry in 2009, working on the first fully LEED hotel in San Antonio, the Holiday Inn Sea World. She transitioned to a luxury green home builder, where she became truly passionate about all things sustainable. In 2014, Shelbi realized a dream and opened her own business, Sustain, helping home and business owners become more energy efficient with commercial solar being the primary focus. Sustain sold over 20 megawatts (MW) of solar, a large portion of that in San Antonio. She proudly joined Big Sun Solar in 2021 as she felt their passion and ever-growing approach to helping to bring solar to a much broader and diverse audience matched her own. She sold almost $9.MM in commercial solar sales in 2022.
Sarah Gibbons
Commercial Project Coordinator
With over 12 years of experience, Sarah is an experienced accounting and project coordinator. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and job costing as well as financing. Specializes in interpreted solar array plans for interconnection and communication with utilities.
